Undercover “Instantcalm” Bomber

Undercover releases it AW16 lookbook with clear inspiration from pre-renaissance European artists like Jan Van Eyck into high renaissance works of Leonardo Da Vinci. One of Jun Takahashi’s cleanest collections to date, the lineup offers new silhouettes as well as vintage pieces brought back in a minimalist way.

Clear influence from the androgynous collections of Alessandro Michele, incorporated with what I would refer to as a Turkish flair, reminiscent of oriental rugs, litter the look book.

This jacket in particular is a key stand out piece, offering a worn silhouette with a cropped 1950’s military influence. My favorite aspect obviously being the renaissance woman on the back, sporting a nonchalant fuck-you with a relaxed expression and the collections name, “Instant Calm” above her head.

You can expect this piece to move quickly so be prepared to cop on TotokaeloDover Street, or on Tres-Bien in the fall. You can bet this is on my want list.

The rest of the collection can be seen below or here.
